The Somerset Skate Park

So you think Singapore is boring? Think again, at least at Somerset the community is quite supportive for having a different kind of park. And yes baby it’s the Somerset Skate Park.

Situated right across Specialist’s Shopping Center and Somerset MRT Station, this skate park boasts a half-pipe, 3 quarter-pipes, a 45-degree ramp, a middle platform and an axl-grind platform allowing thrashers and riders to perform unlimited numbers of tricks and stunts.

Although some of the kids down here still have much to learn from their Western counterparts, they still put up a good show.

This kind of activity, I would say, is some sort of a form-of-expression rather than a form of rebellion. Some kids, true to say, has some problems pumping adrenaline.

In this park, these kids means business so if you have nothing good to say, stay away.

I can drop the “lors”, “lahs” and “mehs” but not this!

So much to shoot with so little time. So when will be the X-Games Singapore?
